Investing in equality and resilience: A toolkit for Gender Responsive Climate Finance

We’re proud to launch the Gender-Responsive Climate Finance Toolkit, developed jointly by Truvalu and Kore Global with support from Switzerland. The toolkit has been validated through practical testing with real investment cases. It helps (impact) investors, PE and VC funds, financial institutions, and development organizations integrate gender across the entire climate investment lifecycle: from sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management, impact measurement, and exit.

And it’s not just a document. Truvalu has built a web-based platform where (impact) investors anywhere in the world can navigate the various modules in the toolkit by investment phase and apply them directly to their own processes. In an anonymous way, for their own purposes.

The toolkit was first developed in Bangladesh. With the toolkit in hand, Truvalu validated it across Bangladesh, Kenya, and Colombia (the three countries where we are currently investing), and added some contextual information from the three countries.

We believe this can help accelerate more inclusive, resilient, and impactful gender-smart climate investment across emerging markets, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

You can explore the pdf version of the toolkit on this page or visit the modules of the toolkit on the web-based version. We invite you to visit the interactive web-based version of our gender responsive climate finance toolkit: https://gc-toolkit.truvalu-group.com/ Please let us know what you think. We highly appreciate your feedback!
