Who we are

Together we build towards an evermore inclusive company which scales its business to become a driver for growth, jobs and economic prosperity – from entrepreneur to enterprise.

Welcome to Truvalu

Truvalu develops fair and inclusive agro and food chains by supporting innovative and scalable SMEs in emerging markets.
An expanding world population, fast-changing dietary habits in emerging markets, and climate change are pushing up food demand and prices, making innovation a necessity and investment in agriculture increasingly attractive.
Through a global approach, we partner with high-potential entrepreneurs from selected countries in Asia, East Africa and Latin America through the different stages of their companies’ life cycle to support them through the pioneering gap.
With our partners we form an ecosystem to support agribusiness from startups to scale-ups, and in doing so we create substantial and lasting impact far beyond the “subsidized for impact” programs.

Vision and Mission

Truvalu believes that a pertinent focus on the agricultural industry in low-income countries is critical to achieve global poverty reduction targets, as, in those areas, agriculture often is the most important productive sector. That is why we work hard to support pioneering entrepreneurs in emerging countries. We provide them access to capital, skills & knowledge, and facilitate access to a variety of local and international networks and markets.

We build competitive, inclusive agri-food businesses and fair value chains in emerging markets in South and Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America for social impact, economic returns and to provide consumers with fair and honest food products.
