Truvalu.enterprises is the fund manager of the Business Booster Fund.
Business Booster Fund is deposited with the Stichting Business 4 Impact, the formal keeper of the assets of the Fund. The Depository monitors the Fund manager and gives advise on important issues.
Truvalu.enterprises is a network organization with a number of Business Development Managers and Business Acceleration Experts in the field (10 locations) and is managed by a small team in the Netherlands consisting of a Director, a Controller and Investment Officers.
Laura lived and worked over 10 years in emerging markets. She started her career working for a social enterprise in Tanzania and then set up her own business consulting enterprises in East and Southern Africa. During her last position as Investment Director at BiD Network she assisted entrepreneurs attract finance for their business. Laura is the Director Truvalu.enterprises and help grow agri-businesses in emerging markets by providing them a combination of business support and investment.

After Chantal has been working for 15 years in the financial sector, 8 years at Robeco and 7 years with an investment company in the private equity, Chantal decided to switch to entrepeneurship with social impact. As financial controller specialized in investments, to be responsible for financial and other decision oriented information, She has a good experience in advising director and management in performance, value creation and business operations. Chantal is enthusiastic in supporting a great team to bring Truvalu to a higher level.
Maarten holds a Master in Global Business and Sustainability and has experience and interest in social venturing and impact investing. He is a hands-on conceptual thinker and with his analytical skills he loves to dive deep into business cases to understand the potential of a company.
Koert is an Agricultural Value Chain Finance expert and passionate to share his 15 year of experience in this field with other (emerging) professionals. He has built his knowledge and skills in different roles and capacities, e.g. as managing director of an investment company focused at smallholder based agricultural value chains in emerging economies. But also as a fund manager of a trade finance fund focused at financing farmer cooperatives and private SMEs active in coffee and other agricultural commodities (Latin America and Africa) as a senior investment officer working with smallholder based businesses and microfinance institutions in Africa and as a trainer and advisor.

Before joining Truvalu, she worked as an investment banker for over 9 years. Her expertise involves origination, structuring and execution of equity and fixed income deals, project financing, M&A and advisory transactions. Her work involved advisory and fundraising transactions for companies across different industries like Power, Steel, Engineering, Food and Beverage, Bank, Financial Institution, Textile, Pharmaceuticals, Hospital, and Information Technology. Prior to that, she worked in different local and multinational banks for 5 years in the areas of Financial Reporting, Asset – Liability Management, Liquidity Management, and Market Risk Management.

Arnello is Business Development Manager of Southeast Asia. As program manager he manages relationships with local partners , provides advisory services concerning Value Chain Development and evaluates the project implementation. Arnello views SMEs as the best solution to poverty alleviation and has contributed to the cause as former Project Manager of Philippine Fair Trade that helped 270 SMEs access the local market.
David Kamukama has over twenty four years of private sector experience in Uganda and the Eastern African region (Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Rwanda), focusing on development of industrial and agribusiness integration projects; directing/managing private sector business projects, management of SMEs and implementing development and investment projects. He has served in various leadership capacities in the private sector companies and local agricultural associations. David has developed business models for companies, institutions, and NGOs in the agricultural value chains, supported partners to prepare business plans and propositions for finance through loans, investments or other financial instruments in Eastern Africa. He has a strong network among public institutions and private sector agencies and has served on many public/private boards.
