The BCFM (Business Case Financial Model) is designed to support business developers and investment managers to assess the financial performance of a company and understand what the financial needs and the most appropriate financing instruments are.
Themes: Break Even Point, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return;
Activities: You will review some basic financial concepts. Based on a real case example will work on assignments and do the financial assessment of a company.
Themes: Introduction to the Financial Model tool;
Activities: You will start to use the financial tool with your own case. E-learning videos support you to use and understand the different parts of the tool. At the end of the week you are invited to participate in a plenary session to discuss the main outcomes of the week.
Themes: Financing Instruments, Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement and Finances;
Activities: By working with a real case example you will learn how to structure the financing of a company and what the pros and cons are of a particular financing instrument.The lessons learned are applied to your own company.
Themes: Financial Performance, Financial Return, Investment Decision;
Activities: Now that you have finished the Business Case Financial Modeling you can evaluate the financial performance of the company and assess the Investor’s return which can be incorporated in reports to investors or business owners.

This is an Advanced course. You are expected to know the following topics: Accounting Fundamentals, Reading Financial Statements, Basic Financial Analysis, Financial Ratios.
